TRUE BLOOD star Chris Bauer is in a play being presented by Atlantic Theater Company, WHAT RHYMES WITH AMERICA by Melissa James Gibson. He is a company member of the Atlantic Theater Company, where he was in Jezz Butterworth’s plays at the Atlantic — “The Night Heron,” ”Parlour Song” and “Mojo.” He made his Broadway debut in “A Streetcar Named Desire” in 2005.
With him are Aimee Carrero, of Cartoon Network’s “Level Up”; Seana Kofoed, on Broadway in “Proof” and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, a Tony Award nominee for “Ghost: The Musical.
Daniel Aukin helms, who recently staged Joshua Harmon’s play “Bad Jews” .
The new play is about a father’s attempt to connect with his estranged daughter. Previews of “What Rhymes With America” begin Nov. 19. The play opens Dec. 12.
