STOCK XENOPHOBIA by Dood Paard

I love Dutch Theater companies. They certainly have no inhibitions regarding nudity. There’s Toneelgroep Amsterdam and also Dood Paard.  I last saw them in 2011 in Guggenheim Museum presenting REIGEN AD LIB.  Now, they are back in New York!

From the press release:

Dood Paard, one of Holland’s leading and spunkiest theater companies, will return to American shores with three critically-acclaimed U.S. premieres —“Freetown,” “Othello (bye bye)” and “Answer Me,” each of which examines the dangers of xenophobia in a unique way.

Here is a pic from ANSWER ME…I don’t know the name of the old actor….

  1. I received a $5 ticket offer for a play called “All About Meat.”. Ad looks juicy, but there are no adult warnings. Anyone know anything about the nudity factor?

  2. I saw “All About Meat” in a previous run. Very muscular beefy man in the lead, doesn’t strip down to more than a towel. Script is AWFUL.
