January is a month where a lot of theatre festivals are held in NYC. There’s COIL Festival, SQUIRTS New Voices in Queer Performance, Under the Radar Festival and a new one PROTOTYPE Festival. Unfortunately, after scanning all the shows, only two have possibility for male nudity:
For Under The Radar Festival:
MINSK 2011: A REPLY TO KATHY ACKER

The Public Theater: 425 Lafayette Street
$20 Tickets: http://www.publictheater.org or call 212-967-7555
If scars are sexy, Minsk is the sexiest city in the world. Strip clubs, underground raves and gay pride parades pulse beneath the surface of a city where sexuality is met by government oppression. A love letter to a home that exiles those willing to fight for it, Minsk 2011 celebrates and mourns a land that has lost its way. This remarkable company that brought us Being Harold Pinter, Zone of Silence and Discover Love returns to New York with this moving and provocative production.
For the COIL Festival:
SUPERNATURE THE BODYCARTOGRAPHY PROJECT

Born out of the restless imaginations of Olive Bieringa & Otto Ramstad, this radical ecological melodrama is replete with artifice and animal appetites. The dance/performance/installation duo engages the wild and civilized aspects of human nature with idiosyncratic movement drawn from bodily impulses and social interactions. Bessie Award–winning composer Zeena Parkins performs a live score within a scenic installation by visual artist Emmett Ramstad.

Abrons Arts Center: 466 Grand St., Manhattan
Jan 14-17 8:30pm
$20
There is an off-broadway revival of Passion which will star Ryan Silverman as Giorgio. Previews begin in February. I’m hoping the opening scene will be similar to the original with Jere Shea singing totally naked.
Thanks for the heads up Lucy!
Gonna have to keep an eye out for all of the above, along with When It Rains at La MaMa , which warns of nudity, hopefully from the guys in the cast.
