I was pleasantly surprised to learn that James Ransone is part of the NYC premier of John Pollono’s SMALL ENGINE REPAIR to be presented by MCCTheater. Small Engine Repair will begin previews Oct. 30 towards a Nov. 18 opening at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. According to MCC Theater, “In Small Engine Repair, Frank, Swaino and Packie – buddies since high school, now past their prime – meet off-hours in Frank’s out-of-the-way repair shop under cloudy circumstances that only Frank has a handle on. Enter Chad, a plugged-in preppy college jock, whose arrival ignites an explosion of long-simmering resentment and rage in this taut, twisty, comic thriller.”For tickets and further information visit mcctheater.org
James has come a long way from being the scrawny kid form KEN PARK. He went on to do HBO‘s The Wire and mini-series Generation Kill. He has grown more handsome now that he has matured, bulked up a bit. And I love it that he has no qualms in terms of nudity. Although I don’t think he can flash us anything in this upcoming play. And in addition, he is a musician as well. It definitely adds yo his sexy factor.
But I won’t ever forget him as Tate from Ken Park for his infamous and somewhat controversial scene depicting autoerotic asphyxiation. Here’s his masturbation scene from KEN PARK.

Saw this today. It is a good play, even though no one showed any skin. It was savagely funny.
