SYNOPSIS
A grieving husband hires a dying woman to deliver a message to his recently deceased wife in the afterlife. When he receives letters describing events that only his wife could know, he must determine if the correspondence is from a con artist or if his wife has returned from the grave.
Note from the Moderator:
From the casting notice, the character of Philip Graves: male, 50s, partial nudity required in the production, but not at the auditions. Young Man: 20 (looks younger), full nudity required in the production, but not at the auditions. Casting personnel state: “Actors must be comfortable with strong sexual content.”
Out of State nudity:
PROMETHEAN THEATRE COMPANY’S 2014 SEASON = New Orleans
”Equus”: March 6-16 at the Marigny Opera House.
No doubt, “Equus” is serious theater for mature audience members only, not only because of the onstage nudity and simulated sex, but for the emotional intensity of the work.
near the end of the play, the young man, jordan geiger, strips down to panties and then strips them off, revealing neatly trimmed pubes and uncut (I think) — sitting in the middle of the theater. You have to sit on audience left (preferably closer to front) to get the best view. Overall, i thought it was a good play with interesting twist.
