Promethean’s powerhouse staging of Shaffer’s psychological drama returns, finding a new home in the heart of the growing St. Claude Arts District.
Experience the production critics have called “…nothing less than awe-inspiring” (Monica R. Harris, Dramatic Asides) and “…a transcendent level of artistry” (Theodore Mahne, The Times-Picayune).
The play follows a child psychologist, Martin Dysart, faced with a case unlike any he’s dealt with before, a child who has blinded 6 horses seemingly out of the blue. As Dysart exposes the truths behind the boy’s demons, he finds himself confronting his own insecurities about religion, sexuality and his relationship with his wife.
