OUT OF TOWN NUDITY. This time in Denver, Colorado
Running from Sep 5 2014 — Sep 14 2014
From the press release:
Showering, getting a massage, having your moles checked — there are very few socially acceptable things you can do 100% naked. Add watching Dancing Nude, the solo show from Denver’s Dangerous Theatre, to that very short list. For one special performance, audiences members will be invited (but by no means required) to strip down before the curtain rises on this captivating piece from storyteller Timothy Mooney. But no matter how you watch it, Mooney’s monologue makes for involving theater of the highest order. Known nationally for his rhyming translations of Moliere (Moliere Than Thou) and barnstorming Shakespearean performances, Mooney pivots from classical theater to personal confession in this collection of “truthful revelations about being male.” This coy and playful chronicle explores sexual identity from age 6 onward through hilarious autobiographical anecdotes, moving poetry and, yes, dance.
