From the press release:

At the heart of Mette Ingvartsen’s 7 Pleasures, twelve performers confront notions of nudity, body politics and sexual practice, questioning the borders between private and public space by literally placing the naked body in the middle of the theater public. In this American premiere, pleasure becomes a perceptual as much as a political question. How do we use pleasures joyful potential to disrupt cliché images attached to nudity and sexuality?

  1. Saw this last night. Well worth seeing, rating 5!

Twelve Danish dancers — 5 of them handsome males. They are naked for almost the entire one-and-a-half hour show (several put on some clothes near the end, but they get naked or half naked again very quickly). Some even take the curtain call naked. The dance is interesting, very experimental and sexy.

The hottest part was the very beginning. Before it really starts when the audience is still talking and settling in, several people in the audience stand up randomly. It seems innocent at first, like they are looking for a friend, until they start taking off their clothes. Slowly, right in the audience! I had noticed a hot guy sitting in my row before the show started and sure enough, he was one of the dancers. He stood up and took off his pants. He stood there in his shirt and underwear for several moments, until people started to notice. Then he took off his underwear (guy’s wearing shirts and naked from the waist down always pushes my buttons). Then he took off his shirt. He just stood there naked for several minutes — right next to audience members all around him. All the dancers did this in different parts of the theater at slightly different times. He left his clothes on his seat and finally he went to the stage — bit of course he had to pass all the people in our row — and he faced us, fully naked, scooting down the row of seating people, his dick inches from our faces. Pretty darn hot. And this was one of the guys who was naked for the entire 90 min. Have fun!

    1. Thank you, Donovan, for the tip — I went to this solely on the strength of your description, which was really exciting, especially the stripping in the audience part, which is something I had never heard of, much less seen. I hope it becomes a trend, though if Bette Midler in Holly, Dolly! prefers to skip it that’s OK by me. As for the rest of the performance, it was fabulous! Where has this stuff been all my life? I am now an official fan of choreographer Mette Ingvartsen, whose company of insanely great dancers deserve some sort of special prize reserved only for them.

  2. I love your description. Reminds me of “Afterclap” when Haskell King walked naked through the audience, after having just removed a condom from his half-hard dick. I will never forget his thick, quivering semi-stiff cock as it passed mere inches from my face!

    1. Sure, glad to share!! …. Ugh, I’m still bummed I missed Haskell King. What ever happened to that guy? He’s not in much lately.
